:: Hydrometallurgical Section, Metallurgical Society of the CIM The purpose of the $3000 Hydrometallurgical Award is to recognize the excellence of the research work performed by a student during the course of his/her graduate studies. To be eligible for this award the student must be enrolled in a Canadian university during the fall and winter semesters prior to the application date. All applications should be mailed before May of that year. Application: The application for the awards should include a short description (2-3 pages maximum) of the project including some results, copies of the academic transcripts and a career resume with a list of achievements (publications, conferences, posters sessions, patents...) during the course of his/her project. The education committee will make a preliminary selection according to the project description, research achievements and transcripts, allowing equal importance to each. Preference will be given to candidates that did not receive awards in previous years. Presentation: The award will be presented with a certificate to the student at a meeting of the Hydrometallurgy Section. The Hydrometallurgy Section should be responsible to publicize the nomination with a short text and a photo of the student in the CIM Bulletin. www.metsoc.org/Students/competitions.asp#hydro
