Process Specialist  [Jan.26, 2010]

Location: WA, Australia

Fortescue is currently seeking a process specialist to conduct plant test work and ensure plant throughput and product quality are optimized. This position is responsible for mass balancing and metallurgical accounting.

The successful candidates will require:

• A tertiary qualification in Process/Chemical engineering or Metallurgy
• 3-5 years experience as a Process metallurgist in a mineral processing environment, particularly in the areas of crushing/screening and beneficiation plants. (hydrocyclones, spirals, upflow classifiers and thickeners)
• Demonstrated use of Initiative and positive attitude
• Good Interpersonal Skills
• High Computer Skills and exposure to varied software
• Iron Ore experience preferred but not essential.
