Senior Mineral Process Engineer, Fluorspar  [Feb.9, 2010]

South African based Fluorspar producer requires a Senior Mineral Processing Engineer to work on its new production facility for Hydrogen/Aluminium Fluoride. The project is currently at the environmental authorisation stage and it is hoped to complete the DFS early in 2010. The role will involve flow design, specification, tendering and construction of a 50,000 tpa anhydrous hydrogen fluoride plant, a 60,000 tpa aluminium fluoride plant and a 90,000 tpa sulphuric acid plant. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the field of Hydrogen/Aluminium Fluoride processing and have had a broad background of chemical processing. The appointee will be educated to at least degree level with preferably a Masters in a suitable subject and at least 10 years relevant experience. The position is residential in Gauteng, South Africa with some travel.
