Teck Coal’s Engineering Summer Student Program [Feb.15, 2010] Location: Various locations This year, Teck Coal is pleased to provide summer job opportunities to students pursuing a University degree in Engineering or Geology. To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be currently enrolled in a University program leading towards an Engineering or Geology Degree and must be continuing their full time studies towards that Degree in the Fall-Winter 2010/2011 term. All applicants are welcome to apply; however, due to the limited number of Engineering and Geology positions available this summer, priority will be given to those applicants who are a current dependent of a Teck Coal employee. All applications must be submitted online. Emailed and hard copy applications will NOT be accepted. Application deadline date is March 19, 2010. Students interested in this exciting opportunity must include the following supporting documentation when completing the online application: Proof of current full-time attendance in a post-secondary education program during the Fall-Winter 2009/2010 term. The program of study must lead to the attainment of a degree or diploma. Information indicating the school, faculty and year of study. If applicable, the full name of the Teck Coal employee and their work location of who the applicant is a dependent. Preferred work location of student (please note there is no guarantee students will be placed at their preferred work location). A copy of their Resume. Unfortunately, applicants graduating from high school in 2010, students returning to school following an absence of one year or greater, and students who have already received a post secondary degree or diploma will not be considered for summer employment in 2010.
