Location: Alaska, USA

Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Chief Metallurgist for our Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction and located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska. We are seeking a talented candidate who will motivate others to work safely and productively with limited supervision and achieve Company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Provides daily technical support to mill operations.
• Responsible for day-to-day efficiency of the mill’s production.
• Develop and execute lab and plant metallurgical studies aimed at improving mill throughput, recovery and costs.
• Responsible for mill metallurgical accounting practices and review of daily, monthly, and annual metallurgical reports.
• Has specific responsibility for establishing the gravity circuit operating guidelines and for optimization of circuit performance.

Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field
• Ten or more years operational and/or technical support experience in an ore processing facility
• Floatation experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Must be detail and results oriented and have effective time management skills
• Demonstrated initiative, cost conscientiousness and team success oriented
• Strong computer skills required with a focus on Microsoft Office Suites
