Mill Manager  [Feb.16, 2010]

Location: Alaska, USA

Coeur Alaska is recruiting a dynamic Mill Manager for the Kensington Gold Mine located 45 miles north of beautiful Juneau, Alaska.

Responsibilities:

• Direct milling operations, tailings disposal, water and waste water treatment plant (s) and maintenance, tailings disposal and the assay laboratory.
• Adhere to Company philosophy and policies
• Establish and enforce safety procedures through development of standard operating procedures and proper training.
• Follow Company’s environmental policies and procedures through absolute regard for environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
• Meet expectations of the mine Operating Plan
• Review and modify processes and procedures to ensure compliance with permits and regulations
• Coordinate activities with Mine Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Administration and Geology Departments as needed.
• Direct the logistics and quality control of concentrates.
• Prepare Monthly Reporting to VP/GM to include
• Compile data for Operating Plan Budget, including: Schedules for throughput, manpower, consumables, and repair materials.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in mineral processing, process metallurgy or equivalent engineering field. 10 years of mill processing experience including operations, maintenance, metallurgy and flotation. The successful candidate must have strong organizational skills and have previous supervisory experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required. Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
