The company is seeking a senior chemical metallurgist to fill a technical leadership role in a joint venture expected to operate from 2010 to 2012. The consultant would be responsible for the refinement of an existing process to extract scandium from an ore in the US and for directing subsequent purification efforts.

So, if you are a Mineral Processing Engineer/ Metallurgist, with:

• significant minerals industry experience
• a specialty in one or more areas such as flotation, leaching, hydrometallurgy, solvent extraction, plant design, hot leaching, magnetic separation or process improvement
• experience in one or more commodities such as rare earths, mineral sands, nickel, and uranium
• strong analytical and communication skills, particularly in completing technical reports
• appropriate professional affiliations
• enthusiasm for business development and growth, and commitment to generating value creating opportunities
• commitment to a team environment and exceptional standards of excellence
