Our client, a major base metal producer, requires a Senior Metallurgist – Flotation for their operation in Papua New Guinea. Reporting to the Team Leader – Plant Metallurgy the incumbent will lead the Metallurgy section in developing the most cost effective and efficient processes to maximise performance and ensuring production targets are met.

The incumbent will be accountable for the day to day efficiency and cost-effectiveness of all Production aspects of the flotation, Gundagai, Lime and Tailings Pyrite sections of the processing plant in accordance with the milling operation plans.

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum 5 years experience in Cu/Au flotation
• Extensive experience in, Flotation, Thickeners & Concentrate Handling.
• Significant experience in Control Room operations.
• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
• Previous experience in working in a multi-cultural environment

The position is offered as a residential or fly in / fly out arrangement. A competitive salary commensurate with experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
