Location: Papua New Guinea

FIFO - 8 days on, 6 days off

You will provide leadership for Hidden Valley operations processing and tailings management activities, whilst ensuring health, safety, environmental and community relations standards are set and maintained. You will also ensure adherence to statutory requirements as a minimum standard.

Your key accountabilities will include but not limited to the following -

  • In conjunction with site leadership team develop key management initiatives and then oversee the implementation to the Processing Department
  • Provision of effective safety leadership and install and maintain a strong positive safety culture to the Processing Department and the wider operation
  • Ensure the standards and policies of the site are adhered and maintained
  • Lead decision making, whilst ensuring that your team are empowered to make decisions on issues within their competency
  • Optimise the metallurgical and environmental performance of the process plant through monitoring, test work, procedural changes, process control and innovation
  • Creating a high performing culture and the willingness and channel for the processing team to embrace innovation and problem solving
  • Oversee and maintain the development of the processing department budget whilst ensuring the costs of the processing plant and well managed

To be considered for this position you will possess the following key skills, experience and attributes -

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Extractive Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience in operating, supervisory and management roles in a gold processing facility
  • Substantial experience with exposure to large scale processing plants in a senior supervisory position, preferably with Merrill Crowe and flotation experience
  • Demonstrated experience with a genuine passion to providing exceptional leadership, coaching and mentoring to team
  • Highly developed planning, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven business improvement experience and achievements with a high level of demonstrated implementation of strategic planning initiatives
