Location: Mauritania

A rapidly expanding African gold producer, with operations in Mauritania, requires a Metallurgical Superintendent. Responsibilities will include coordinating day-to-day metallurgical activities and monitoring plant performance; analysing operational and assay data; managing, monitoring and improving the metallurgical accounting system; coaching mentoring and training Metallurgical Engineers and Technicians and setting up training programs to facilitate this development. Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering required, together with a good background in the mining industry. Also, significant metallurgical technical and practical experience in gold processing, dump and heap leach operations is required, along with good computer skills. Previous expatriate experience is preferred. Fly-in, Fly-out roster of 8 weeks on and 4 weeks off from point of hire.
