Our client is an international mining house listed on the Toronto and London Stock Exchange with projects across the globe. It is involved in various mineral exploration, development and mining projects in West Africa his company has a very health balance sheet with a 49 per cent increase in realized revenue per ounce.

They are currently in a position to recruit a suitably experienced Metallurgical Superintendent to work at one of their key operations in West Africa. Reporting directly to the Treatment Plant Manager, the above position is required to coordinate all metallurgical activities on site.

Specifically, you will be required to:

• Coordinating day to day metallurgical activities and monitor plant performance
• Analyse operational and assay data
• Manage, monitor and improve the metallurgical accounting system
• Coach, mentor and train Metallurgical Engineers and Technicians and set up training programs to facilitate this development
• Ensure site safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

To be successful in this position, you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
• 10+ years experience in the mining industry with 5 years at a Senior Level
• Metallurgical technical and practical experience in gold processing, dump and heap leach
• Previous expatriate experience preferred but not necessary
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of people
