Our client is a diverse multi-disciplinary consultancy, with global expertise in the areas of Quality, Health & Safety, Environment and Social Responsibility to a range of clients. Due to significant company growth both in Australian and internationally and involvement in industry leading projects there is an immediate need for a Metallurgist to join their North Queensland team

Based Mackay, you will join a small team of skilled metallurgists and engineers in providing expert advice and investigation to identify situations leading to the failure of mining plan and industrial equipment and components.

To be successful for this role you will be tertiary qualified in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering or Materials Science and it is essential you have 2-4 years industry experience in a role investigating equipment failures (occurring in fixed and mobile plants), preference will be given to candidates who can conduct root cause failure analyses, prepare metallurgical reports and offer solutions.

This role will may require extensive travel and will suit an individual with strong communication and relationship building skills. Most importantly you will be someone who is motivated by a challenging role within a global organization and someone who is wishing to secure a leading career opportunity.
