A mining giant with operations throughout Australia is on the lookout for a metallurgist with a roll up your sleeves attitude who enjoys getting stuck into the daily operations of the plant and gains a sense of satisfaction from being able to influence the required outcomes of the team. Whilst this is a position that requires a lot of you there is always the time to have a laugh and your sense of humour will be appreciated.

Planning, designing and carrying out projects and test programs with outcomes focused on enhancing efficiency of the operation.

Provision of technical support to operations

Monitoring process performance against parameters and targets and reporting daily, weekly and monthly on performance, technical and variance issues

Analysis and modelling of plant performance data

Monitoring metallurgical laboratory

Support to consultants and contractors visiting and working within the operation.

What is needed for this position is a degree qualified Metallurgist/ Chemical Engineer who has 3+ years relevant experience in a processing plant, good communication and computer skills and the ability to work successfully in a team.
