Our client, a leader in the base metals industry, is seeking a Senior Metallurgist to join their team based in north Queensland. This is an outstanding opportunity to become a part of dynamic company, build your career and enjoy the benefits of a residential roster.

In this role, you will build upon your flotation experience and work as part of the team to optimise plant performance. Reporting to the Mill Superintendent, your duties will include:

• Providing technical support to plant personnel in the Operations and Maintenance departments.
• Optimising Plant Performance.
• Reviewing daily, weekly and monthly plant performance reports.
• Meeting quality, production and maintenance targets.
• Maintaining the costs within the budget forecasts.
• Achieving a high level of safety and environmental standards.

Combined with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in flotation and be able to apply their technical knowledge in this area. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential. Candidates who demonstrate initiative and pursue excellence in their work will be highly regarded.
