Our client is the world’s pre-eminent gold producer, with a portfolio of 27 operating mines, as well as many advanced exploration and development projects located across five continents.

They are currently seeking a Senior Metallurgist for their gold mine located on the Yandal Greenstone Belt, approximately 680km northeast of Perth, Western Australia. Reporting to the Processing Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to manage and work as part of the Metallurgy Section to ensure safe operation of the processing plant to achieve all Mill Department KPI’s. This will be achieved through control and optimisation of processing plant parameters, metallurgical accounting, metallurgical research, implementation of process improvement strategies and technical support for the mill operations personnel.

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Degree in metallurgy;
  • 5-7 years metallurgical experience in an operational environment;
  • Several years experience in a gold mining operation very advantageous; and
  • Laboratory and supervisory experience.

This position is offered on a fly-in, fly-out basis, with an attractive 8/6 roster. The successful candidate will be offered an attractive salary package.
