Location: ON, Canada

Musselwhite Mine is a fly-in, fly-out underground gold mine located approximately 500km North of Thunder Bay, on the southern shore of Opapimiskan Lake. Musselwhite has produced over four million ounces of gold since its first commercial production in April of 1997. The company employs more than 15,000 people worldwide, including the 550 employees that work at Musselwhite Mine. If you are willing to contribute your initiative and commitment, and use your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to be part of a creative and motivated team of outstanding performers, we are seeking your experience for the following position: Metallurgy Student Musselwhite Mine We are looking for students who want to gain valuable mine site experience through a work term placement. Responsibilities

  • Executing required metallurgical test work
  • Computation of mill production reports
  • Engineering performance enhancing projects for the Mill
  • Learning the milling process from the production floor
  • Enhancing the overall occupational health and safety and environmental conditions of the Mill

Requirements

  • Co-op eligible student heading into their 3rd or 4th year of a Chemical Engineering Program
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Schedule for this position is 14 days on by 14 days off working 12 hour shifts. Applications close on October 31, 2017.
