Metallurgical Intern  [March 14, 2020]

Location: Red Dog, AK, USA

Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a temporary non-exempt Metallurgical Intern.

Red Dog Mine, located in NW Alaska, is a large, technically challenging open pit mine, mill and port facility. It is a remote, but modern and well-equipped fly-in fly-out operation that provides free room and board for employees, and regular transportation to and from the point of hire for the duration of the placement.

Rotation schedule will be five weeks on-site and two and a half weeks off-site. Rotation schedule may vary.

Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, the Metallurgical Intern is responsible for test work for the Assay Lab, Water Treatment plants, assisting with water/plant sampling and metallurgical projects.
