:: Higher Capacity Rare-Earth Magnetic Separators

The re-designed rare-earth roll magnetic separator is currently operating in Iluka’s Florida processing plant.

Iluka has implemented Outokumpu Technology's new design to separate leucoxene and ilmenite from rutile materials. The Inprosys^® model HS15, with a 150mm diameter by 1.5meter width roll, is currently operating at 1.6 times the capacity of the traditional HS10 separator.

More than an increase in capacity per unit of roll width, which reduces the number of machines necessary in an operation, the HS15 has also been empowered with an enhanced mechanical system design. The design changes improve the roll machine by making it more operator accessible and friendly.
