:: Outokumpu Gains Rights to Distribute New Separator

Outokumpu Technology has signed an agreement with Ganzhou Verticle Ring Equipment Inc. to be a global distributor of SLon wet high-intensity magnetic separators to the markets outside of China.

There are over 200 SLon units in operation around the world. The units are often used to replace traditional Wet High-Intensity Magnetic Separators (WHIMS) as they produce a much more pure product.

The very efficient, high-gradient magnetic separators operate on a unique pulsating mechanism. SLon are used in recovering weakly magnetic minerals, like Hematite and Ilmenite; or in the removal of weakly magnetic impurities from industrial minerals, such as Zircon and Kaolin Clay. The SLon magnets are also very efficient in separating extremely fine particles.

With an already strong supply of magnetic separators, with the Inprosys High-Force magnetic separators and the High-Intensity Superconducting Cryofilters, the SLon magnet addition will nicely round out the Outokumpu Technology offerings.
