:: Roche Mining (MT) Wins South African Maintenance Contract Roche Mining (MT) was recently awarded a 5-year maintenance contract of all the electrostatic equipment at the Richards Bay Minerals mine as well as an order for 12 new electrostatic separators. Glen Zille, General Manager of Roche Mining (MT), said all the equipment being maintained was originally supplied by RMMT over 30 years ago when the mine was first established. "Richards Bay Minerals has outsourced this service to take advantage of Roche MT’sexpertise and knowledge of the product to create greater efficiency in maintenance activities,"said Mr Zille. "The equipment to be supplied will match the existing electrostatic separators and are improved versions of that supplied at start up operations in the late 1970s, and their inclusion will greatly increase the productivity of the operation,"he said. While existing operations will benefit from commonisingon the installed equipment base when undertaking a plant expansion, new process plants can incorporate the latest technological advances in HTR electrostatics with the MK6 Carrara machine.
