:: Multotec Process Equipment Acquires Magnapower Multotec Process Equipment has acquired a majority shareholding in Magnapower. Johan Engelbrecht, managing director of Multotec Process Equipment, explains that previously the companies had concluded a marketing agreement which resulted in exceptional growth. “As a natural progression, the decision was made by Multotec Process Equipment to acquire this significant shareholding to ensure Magnapower’s long term sustainability in the market through additional investment and application of resources,” Engelbrecht says. Additional resources in terms of finance, people and equipment are already in the planning stage. Engelbrecht says that this will enable customers to benefit from Magnapower’s technology while being supported by the engineering, operational and process expertise within Multotec as well as its financial ability. Engelbrecht says that Magnapower will continue to operate from its existing facility in Robertville, Johannesburg. At this stage, it is not envisaged that any changes will be made to Magnapower’s range of magnetic separators which includes:
The Magnapower magnetic separators, which have been part of Multotec’s equipment offering since 2003, complement the company’s existing product range and allow customers access to a single supply source for minerals processing equipment.
