WA-based used plant and machinery dealer Anaco has pre-sold a consignment of Master Magnets overband separators in record time. Anaco's Ashley McCorkell said he thought the product would sell out quickly but takeup has been overwhelmingly swift.

"Master Magnets are builders of first class separation equipment for use in the mining and recycling industries," McCorkell said.

"It's the leading product around the world -all the big crushing companies use them." Master Magnets' permanent magnets are built from strontium ferrite material and then the company's 12 tonne magnetiser to totally saturate the material, which makes them among the most powerful permanent magnets available. It produces electro magnets from wound aluminium foil or wire, which is then insulated to class H temperature specification.

Overband separators are very effective in extracting tramp metals, protecting machinery and separating/upgrading product feed. In mining, there is always the possibility tramp metal will find its way into the product stream. If this proceeds into the crusher or shredder, machinery can be damaged resulting in costly downtime and repairs.
