Pumping equipment and valves are vital to processing or dewatering applications and form the backbone of any mining operation. Technology advances, and as in other equipment sectors, on-line technologies are playing a major role in improving pumping efficiency, as discussed by Mike Woof in the January/February 2004 issue of World Mining Equipment (pps. 30-32).
