Metso's new X-range of slurry pumps is designed to offer long service and high reliability in heavy-duty mining applications such as mill discharge and tailings disposal. Features include high performance and low maintenance costs and the new pumps are available in XM hard metal or XR elastomer and rubber lined versions.

According to Metso, the heavy-duty design and robust construction combined with the highest quality of abrasion resistant wear materials is a guarantee for longer life and more efficient operation in the toughest of applications. Metso has also re-designed the former Orion range of pumps, designed for tough slurry pumping applications in minerals processing, and extended its M-Series. The Orion models are now known as the H-range, with sizes from 50-350 mm, an impeller aspect ratio of 2.5:1 and these are also available in hard metal HM and rubber lined HR versions. The M-range has been extended with a medium duty slurry pump, with sizes from 25-350 mm, an aspect ration of 2:1 and the choice of hard metal MM and MR rubber lined versions.
