Sandvik Materials Handling's Voest-Alpine division is supplying two stacker reclaimers for the port facility at Dalian in China. This equipment will be used to handle iron ore and will be able to stack up to 5,000 tph and reclaim up to 4,500 tph.

The electrical equipment for both stacker/reclaimers is being supplied by Siemens and in addition to the low and medium Voltage switchgear, Siemens is also supplying an innovative control system that offers visualisation tools at the operator terminals. The equipment was delivered to site last year and is due for commissioning mid 2004.
