:: Rusal and Norsk Hydro Tie Up

The world's second-largest producer of primary aluminium, Rusal, has entered into a long-term agreement with Norwegian energy, aluminium and agricultural chemicals group Norsk Hydro ASA. Under the terms of the ten-year agreement, Norsk Hydro subsidiary Hydro Aluminium will participate in the up-grading of the cast house at Rusal's Sayanogorsk primary aluminium smelter in Western Siberia. According to Norsk Hydro, its capital investment in the project is limited, and will involve the company providing its proprietary casting equipment and technical assistance for the project.
