:: CPT secures contract with Mikhailovsky Iron Ore
Canadian Process Technologies Inc. a Delta B.C. based company that designs and manufactures mineral processing equipment has been awarded a $3.5 million contract for the supply of column flotation cells, gas spargers associated process control instrumentation for Mikhailovsky Iron Ore in Russia.
The objective of the Mikhailovsky Iron Ore project was to enhance and refine the existing flotation circuit in order to produce a DRI grade magnetite concentrate with less than 3 percent silica. The existing processing plant, operating at 2.0 MTPY, produced a concentrate with a silica content ranging from 6 to 8 percent.
CPT was required to supply two (2) complete cleaning modules to the existing processing circuit including; basic engineering, design, equipment supply, automation control systems and, as well, the provision for further future modular expansion to the circuit.
In phase one, of a four phase project, CPT will supply eight (8) flotation columns the largest of which is 4.3 meters in diameter and 12 meters in height, plus 160 SlamJetŪ spargers complete with associated plant control instrumentation and water conditioning equipment.
