:: Metso to Supply a Minerals Processing System to Elkem Solar in Norway

Metso Minerals will supply a minerals processing system to Elkem Solar for its processing plant in Kristiansand, Norway. The delivery will be completed during the first quarter of 2008.

The order comprises crushing and screening as well as quartz washing equipment and engineering services. The equipment delivery includes a primary crusher, a fluid bed dryer, a conveyor and two screens. Metso will also supply erection supervision and project management services, and auxiliary equipment.

Elkem's plant produces pure silisium, which is used for the production of solar panels.
