:: Newmont Install ConSep ACACIA Reactor The first North American installation of a ConSep ACACIA Reactor went online this month at Newmont's Golden Giant Mine. After only one trial run, the ACACIA system permanently replaced the shaking table circuit to maximize gold recovery from the high-grade gravity concentrates produced from existing batch-type Knelson Concentrators.
The ACACIA's first week of production produced an average gold recovery of 99% from Golden Giant's Knelson Concentrators. The ConSep ACACIA Reactor is a patented, high-efficiency leaching system exclusively designed to handle the high-grade concentrates produced by Knelson Concentrators. The system is designed to maximize gold recovery from gravity concentrates and provide numerous process advantages over a conventional gold room.
