A feature article in the March 2002 issue of Engineering & Mining Journal entitled 'Newmont Chemical Company"' describes Newmont's gold operations in North and South America. A prime benefit of Newmont's acquisitions in Nevada is the capability to recover gold from (organic) carbonaceous or sulphidic ores by flotation, roasting, autoclaving, conventional heap or bioleaching and biomilling.
