:: MARSA 1st - Gold Recovery From Furnace Slag

Falcon recently shipped a second SB machine to Peru for the recovery of fine gold from furnace slag. The first company to do this in Peru was Minera Aurifera Retamas S.A. Consulting metallurgist for MARSA, Mr. Leandro Perez (a well respected and highly recognized consultant in the mining industry), installed the Falcon SB250 in Lima at their slag processing facilities. This unit is installed in-line with a small ball mill, used to grind the gold rich slag.

Leandro and his team have been able to get recoveries in the mid to high nineties and produce a smeltable grade from the falcon concentrator. The remaining low-grade slag is discarded.

This is where Falcon's SB technology comes into its own. The slag is finely ground liberating the entrained fine gold particles. Being able to operate at high G-forces and enhancing the recovery of FINE gold makes Falcon's SB technology a perfect match for this application.
