:: Gekko RSA Appoints Diamond Specialist

Gekko Systems RSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Wilna Hoffmann as Customer Services Metallurgist. Russell Heins, Gekko’s RSA Manager is delighted to welcome Wilna to the RSA Technical Team. "Wilna brings to Gekko a very strong background in diamond metallurgy and operations. Her role is dedicated to supporting our diamond sector customers as well as the needs of our other clients" he said. Wilna will be based in Johannesburg.

Wilna spent 12 years with De Beers, of which the last year was spent on the MV Atlantic Upgrade project as Project Metallurgist with De Beers Marine based in Cape Town. Part of her time with De Beers was as a bursar during which she obtained her Higher National Diploma in Extractive Metallurgy. She has also spent time at Namakwa Sands on ilmenite sands smelting, Finsch diamond mine and Anglo Research Laboratories. Her broad metallurgical knowledge, coupled with her extensive diamond experience, makes her a great asset to the already strong Gekko team.
