:: Sonny Mwansa Wins Best Poster Prize at Mineral Processing '04

Sonny Mwansa, a student at the University of Cape Town, was awarded the R200 voucher prize for best poster presentation at the Mineral Processing '04 conference held at Somerset West, South Africa in August.

He is pictured here (centre) with his co-authors Aubrey Mainza and Malcolm Powell. Their paper "Measuring particle segregation along SAG mills" involved the mammoth effort of segregating and analysing the contents of a full scale SAG mill, believed to be the first (and probably last!!) time that this has been carried out.
