The pair recently provided the international Solvent Extraction community with the highly successful ISEC 2002 Conference in Cape Town (attended by 350 delegates from 40 different countries) which was voted the best ISEC ever. Another international event also a first for South Africa, will be the forthcoming IFSA conference on fluidised bed technology to be held at Mintek later on in the year, and in the meantime they have had their hands full with the side event Mintek will be hosting on mining and environment to coincide with the World Summit on Sustainable Development which will take place at the end of August.
