:: DEM Award to Hiroshi Mio

Dr. Hiroshi Mio, of Doshisha University, Japan, was awarded the prize for best video in the Gallery of DEM at the recent DEM ‘07 conference, held in Brisbane, Australia. His video, with co-workers Atsuko Shimosaka, Yoshiyuki Shirakawa and Jusuke Hidaka, was entitled “Solid Paricle Flow in a Blast Furnace”. He is pictured here with Dr. Mark Sawley of LIN-STI, Switzerland, the chairman of the Gallery of DEM committee.
