:: New President for H.G. Engineering

We are pleased to announce the appointment of John Deakin as President of H.G. Engineering Ltd.

John graduated from the University of Sheffield (UK) in Civil and Structural Engineering in 1968. After graduation, he worked in the steel industry, first in Britain and later in Canada, before joining HGE in 1982. John became a Vice President in 1992 and Executive Vice President in September 1999 on the retirement of Harvey Griggs.

John developed HGE's powerful PROJET project controls software, as well as the company's internal controls systems. He has been central to decision making at the highest levels of the company for many years. John's wide range of experience in both the ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgical industries, combined with his exceptional intelligence and nononsense approach to problem solving, make him an excellent choice to lead HGE forward to a very bright future. John will ensure that HGE continues the tradition of providing first class engineering services to our worldwide client base.
