:: Mark Fielder Promoted to Operations Vice President

Mark Fielder has been promoted to operations vice president of FLSmidth's recently formed Non-Ferrous Division. The division provides advanced minerals processing technologies, systems and solutions to the global mining industry.

"Mark has earned this promotion due to his proven operational excellence and relentless focus on our customers," said Peter Flanagan, Non-Ferrous Division executive vice president. "We are confident in his ability to drive best practices globally as we continue to grow through acquisitions and be the one source provider for miners and minerals processors."

Fielder, a naturalized U.S. citizen who is originally from the United Kingdom, has worked in a number of senior operations positions in the mining and minerals processing, oil and gas and aerospace industries. Previously, he served as operations director and was responsible for the integration of several acquisitions. He has been employed by FLSmidth 18 years.

As the operations vice president, Fielder, 50, will work out of the FLSmidth minerals technology center headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. He will be responsible for the processes and procedures that support the global execution of customer orders. Fielder is an engineering graduate of Guildford College of Technology in the UK.

"FLSmidth has clearly identified operational excellence as one of the key elements of our growth strategy," said Fielder. "I'm excited to be able to be part of the team that will continue to focus on delivering excellent products and solutions to the global minerals customers."
