André joined the Department in 1980 coming from the University of Toronto and previously Ecole Polytechnique. An outstanding and dedicated teacher and favorite with the students, he taught the faculty service course, Engineering Economy, as well as several other courses within his specialty, Mineral Processing. His research interests were in gold recovery. He was an extremely honest and fair individual with high moral standards and values, who conveyed a wonderfully positive outlook on life.
