Phil Turner - General Manager Risk and Sustainability
Phil recently joined JKTech as our General Manager Risk and Sustainability. Phil is responsible for managing risks in all aspects of safety, sustainability and license to operate across all of JKTech's sites.
Prior to joining JKTech, Phil held senior corporate and operations roles within Rio Tinto and BHP Petroleum and has accumulated broad expertise in risk, audit, investigation, HSE leadership and assurance, successfully engaging from operations to senior management and company directors.
Tapiwa Chenje - Comminution Specialist
Tapiwa holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Metallurgy from the University of Zimbabwe, and a PhD (Grinding Media Wear in Tumbling Mills) from McGill University.
Most recently, Tapiwa worked for Vale Canada as a Comminution Research Engineer. Tapiwa's previous employment includes McKinsey and Company, Zimbabwe?s Scientific and Industrial Research & Development Centre and Nimr & Chapman Manufacturing.
Manuel Astorga - Principal Mining Consultant
Manuel commenced in January as Principal Consultant with the Mining Consulting Team. Manuel came to JKTech from Chile, where he worked for more than 22 years as a Technical Manager / Mining Professional, predominately in open cut copper mining.
The majority of Manuel's career has been at international operations however Manuel has spent a combined 3 years within Australia at Xstrata.
