The 2004 Parker Centre undergraduate scholarship for a Murdoch University student was awarded to Humza Pradhan on 3 June. Last year, the Extractive Metallurgy program at Murdoch University introduced an undergraduate scholarship scheme to encourage students to study extractive metallurgy. The Parker Centre agreed to also contribute a $4000 scholarship each year. In addition, the Centre is funding a similar scholarship for a student at the WA School of Mines. These scholarships are awarded to first year students. The 2003 Parker Centre undergraduate scholarship for a Murdoch student was awarded to Chris Burgess.
