:: Ausmelt Chairman Retires

Ausmelt Limited has announced the retirement of its Chairman, Mr Ron McNeilly.

Mr McNeilly’s decision to retire as a Director of Ausmelt Limited is due to increasing commitments that will not allow him to commit the necessary time to Ausmelt matters.

The Worley Group Ltd recently announced that Mr. McNeilly would be appointed Chairman immediately following its annual meeting on 15th November 2004. He is also Deputy Chairman of BlueScope Steel Ltd and a director of Alumina Ltd.

Mr. McNeilly will vacate the Ausmelt Chair after the Company’s annual general meeting on November 19.

The Ausmelt Board plans to make an announcement in regards to the new Chairman prior to the Company’s annual general meeting.
