:: Gekko Appoints R&D Manager

Gekko Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Hughes as Research & Development Manager.

Tim Hughes is Gekko’s newly appointed R&D Manager and is the latest member to join the Gekko Team. Tim Hughes has 17 years experience working in mineral processing operations throughout Australia. Much of this time was spent working for MPI Mines Ltd based in Stawell where Tim progressed to become Group Metallurgist and co-ordinator of $22 million capital investment program.

Mr Hughes has a Post Graduate Diploma in Extractive Metallurgy (Curtin University - WASM) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Curtin University Perth) where he graduated with Honours.

Tim’s focus at Gekko will be on new process and product development. "I am looking forward to the challenge of developing Gekko’s new ideas and concepts and to be a part of a company where the people have a passion for innovation and leadership in technology." Tim will also play a critical role in documenting and testing optimal unit / module performance configuration.
