:: New Outokumpu Technology Engineering Manager Brings Wealth of Experience
An engineer with more than 20 years mining and heavy industry experience, Mr Eric Hooimeyer, has been appointed as Engineering Manager for Outokumpu Technology in Australia.

Mr Hooimeyer (B Eng Hons - Structural) will be responsible for the company’s engineering departments in Sydney, Perth and Sri Lanka, says Outokumpu Technology’s Managing Director, Mr Neil Jagger.
"Having previously been Senior Design Engineer for the company, Eric Hooimeyer has a wealth of experience in some of the country’s biggest projects including most recently Ravensthorpe nickel, Marlin’s CCD project and the Murray Basin project," he said.
A member of the Institute of Engineers and the Australian Steel Institute, some of Mr Hooimeyer’s previous roles include draftsman, project engineer and design engineer, with 13 years consulting experience and 10 years with process technology suppliers, specialising in thickening solutions.

Mr Hooimeyer’s appointment is the latest in a series of technical and service initiatives by Outokumpu Technology, including expansion of its Australian Service Centre to provide world-class skills to enhance the efficiency of its customers’ plants.
