:: Staff Changes at AMIRA

Elizabeth Baratto has been appointed Manager, Knowledge Systems. Elizabeth has previously worked with us as a contractor but has now joined our staff to focus on enhancing our systems for the capture, recording and accessing the rich ‘mine’ of information within AMIRA and its personnel.

Dr David Nairn re-joins us as manager dealing with the recently-created AMSRI (the Australian Mineral Sciences Research Institute). David worked with AMIRA previously and will be known to Australian members for his work as CEO of the GK Williams Co-operative Research Centre.

Graham White becomes Communications Manager. A former news executive and communications consultant he will be responsible for communication with members and with professional and industry journals. He replaces Jess Tyler who has relocated back to Tasmania.

Belinda Coates joins us as Project Assistant to the Geoscience team, replacing Rachael Jensen who has moved to Europe. Belinda comes from a hospitality and marketing background, bringing with her a range of fresh skills into our team.
