:: Barrick Safety Award to Mark Grice
Itís no secret that safety is number one priority at KCGM so itís fantastic to report that Mark (Nugget) Grice has been recognized for his outstanding commitment to this extremely important area.
Mark is the Project Manager of CSI (Crushing Services International) a permanent contract company on site, who operate the primary crusher. His promotion of safety and the development of innovative safety ideas at CSI earned him the prestigious Barrick Safety Award. The awards are designed to acknowledge the exceptional dedication individuals have demonstrated in relation to help building a safety culture.
As an award winner Mark was nominated by his supervisor, Graham Williams. His nomination was reviewed by Barrick region, corporate health and safety managers who made recommendations to the EHSS governance committee who ultimately decided the award recipients.
Mark was presented with his award at the latest Barrick Courageous Leadership Course at the Tower Hotel, June 16th by Barrick Exectutive V.P. and Chief Operating Officer, Peter Kinver.
ďMark has taken the time to raise the safety culture at CSI to one where proactive actions are becoming more common and safety improvements are actively encouraged. He also promotes the development of new ideas," said Graham in Markís successful nomination.
A big congratulation to Mark on his award and everyone is encouraged to learn from his positive contribution and can-do attitude, as we all strive to ensure everybody goes home safe everyday.
