:: Leadership Changes at the JK Centre
Late last year, the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre (JKMRC) was awarded the fourth international Rio Tinto Research Centre of Excellence - The Centre for Advanced Mineral Sorting (CAMS), which is located at and fully integrated into the JKMRC.
Professor Ben Adair accepted the role of Director of CAMS and as such, resigned from his role as Director of the JKMRC.
The position of Director of the JKMRC is one of international significance and it will take some time to complete the search for the next Director. An interim arrangement has been put in place to ensure that the search process does not adversely impact the research and technology development momentum at the JKMRC.
Dr Geoff Gault, the Managing Director of JKTech, has accepted the position of Interim Director of JKMRC while the search process proceeds. JKMRC is committed to continue to deliver value to its research sponsors as well as to the work with its various research collaborators around the world.
During this time Dr Dan Alexander will act as CEO of JKTech. Dan has the full support of the JKTech Board of Directors and the JKTech senior management team. JKTech will continue to provide world class solutions to the global resources industry, with its range of quality products and services.
This leadership change at the JK Centre was effective from Monday 1st February, 2010.
Dr Dan Alexander
