:: Minerals Down Under Boss Rejoins Curtin University
The director of CSIRO’s Minerals Down Under National Research Flagship, Professor Peter Lily will next year return to the Curtin Institute of Minerals and Energy (CIME) in an executive role.
Lily, who was previously the director of Curtin’s West Australian School of Mines (WASM) from 2004 to 2006, will become the executive director of minerals and energy strategy from January.
According to the University, he will lead strategic business partnerships with the resources industry and work closely with the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the current director of WASM.
He will report to the deputy vice-chancellor of research and development, Professor Linda Kristjanson.
