:: Tim Vizcarra - Winner of the 21st Ian Morley Prize
On Monday this week, Tim Vizcarra, a new employee at JKTech, won the 2010 Ian Morley Prize. Tim completed his postgraduate studies at the Julius Kruttschnitt Mineral Research Centre and has recently submitted his PhD thesis, investigating the liberation of particles after they have been broken by various comminution devices.
Tim is the 21st winner of the award since its inception in 1990 following a bequest from the late Mr Ian Morley, who had formed an association with the JKMRC in the 1960s. The annual Ian Morley prize acknowledges the best overall performance and achievements as a postgraduate student.
Tim joined JKTech in October as part of our specialist development program for recent graduates and is currently working at our Sumner Park geometallurgical testing facility.
