:: JKTech Welcomes Sebastian Tello to the Comminution Consulting Group

The JKTech Comminution team would like to welcome Sebastian Tello to our group as a Senior Comminution Specialist. Sebastian has arrived at JKTech at an exciting time for the Comminution consulting group. With projects for clients ranging from Xstrata, BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto to a number of smaller companies, Sebastian's skills in grinding circuit design and optimisation are being put to immediate use.

Sebastian graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 with a degree in Minerals Process Engineering andcompleted a Masters Degree in Comminution at the JKMRC in 2002. Sebastian then joined WMC at their Olympic Dam Operation where he undertook a number of technical and operational roles. Following his time at Olympic Dam, Sebastian went to Worsely Alumina as part of the BHPBilliton technical exchange program before joining the BHPBilliton Nickel West Business Development team as a comminution specialist on an expansion project in 2008. Prior to joining JKTech, Sebastian worked at Minera Escondida in Chile in the production planning department where his focus was on the validation of geometallurgical model outputs and the identification and development of improvement opportunities for the concentrate production process.

We welcome Sebastian to the team and wish him a long and illustrious career with JKTech!
