Following last year's decision to establish Sandvik Rock Processing as a supplier of wear protection products, the company has established a new business segment, 'Wear Protection & Screening Media'. A range of screening media and wear protection products are now available under the Sandvik name.

What is special about Sandvik's offering in this field is that the products are genuinely innovative, possessing unique features that cannot be found elsewhere. They are carefully designed to match the needs of the market and are guaranteed to improve plant profitability. And the good news is that customers don't have to have Sandvik machinery to be able to use its wear protection products.

In addition to a new workshop in Svedala, Sweden, there will be a global product support centre and local Product Support on all core markets. Sandvik intends to secure specialist know-how close to customers, and to keep the flow of qualified feedback coming back to the product centre.
